Simple design process, impressive results
Gene Doe integrates a number of APIs to allow rapid and inexpensive production and deployment of mobile apps for medical research. Researchers design studies on REDCap, a widely used web-based application for content management and HIIPAA-compliant data storage. Integration with Apple ResearchKit allows for in-app data management and a polished user interface.
Produced apps can deliver scheduled and ad-hoc surveys, and collect sensor data through SensorKit-compatible devices. ResearchKit ActiveTasks can be launched to lead users through steps to assess fitness, cognition, gait, and sensorium. Apple HealthKit securely connects your studies with participant’s electronic health records. Researchers can enable screening, obtaining consent, scheduling, messaging, and reporting as needed.

Licensing Fees
There is no fixed licensing fee for our technology. Pricing will be determined on a case-by-case basis, with a goal to support researchers by keeping our technology affordable. To make continued development possible, priority may be given to projects with a budget.
To support emerging researchers, we offer our technologies free of charge for promising projects from new researchers. New researchers, especially those pursuing a Career Development (K) Award, and biomedical students are encouraged to apply for waived licensing fees. Simply tell us about your research project on our Contact page, and we will discuss if you are eligible for our scholarship program.
